For a more artistic representation of your child’s athletic ability, we offer digital painting services. Whether it’s from a picture you provide or one of your favorites from our galleries, we’ll transform it into something truly unique. These aren’t just canned photoshop effects, we individually hand paint each image with digital ‘Real Media’ brushes for stunning results. To complete the hand painted feel of these images we print them on gallery wrapped canvas up to 24×32″.
Wrestlers from 8 different junior high schools in the South Gilbert area square off in the final tournament of the season. New to wrestling, I was quite impressed at the talent these young men displayed and enjoyed every minute. Congratulations to Newell Barney Middle school who took first place and graciously hosted the event. Clicking the picture above will take you to a flickr set where you can view and download images of the event - enjoy.
Desert Ice Fastpitch entered this California College Showcase event and went 4-1 in their Pool. Nice showing for their 2nd event with this organization with the hopes to earn some respect and a better bracket for more College Recruiter exposure. Desert Ice was without their starting SS and one of their main Catchers both of which bring solid defense and a big stick to any event. Not bad for being undermanned.
The first game of the STYFL PeeWee division Playoffs and unfortunately for the Eagles, their last. The Eagles defense did a valiant job taming the Rams’ arsenal of powerful running backs, keeping the score tied 6-6 for much of the game. But an early 4th quarter breakaway play by the Rams put them in the lead 6-12. The Eagles did mount an impressive offensive drive in the last minutes of the game, with several conversions but ultimately came up short.
Being an Eagle parent, it was a disappointing loss, but our boys played one heck of a game and the Rams came away with a well deserved victory.
Basha girls volleyball hosted Highland to a 3-1 Varsity victory. It was no pushover though as the Hawks put up some hard fought games starting out against the Bears 1-1 with Basha taking the next two games. Fast paced and high energy, this 4 game match-up was really close and exciting to watch.
Eagles host the Special Forces for the last game of the season – and what a way to close the season. Last time these teams met, the Special Forces dominated – not this time. Eagles defense was tough and played smart, containing the Forces running game and putting enough pressure on the QB to keep the ball on the ground. The Eagles’ offense also was tough with a power running game that just pounded through the line. Half time found these teams tied at 6 a piece. The forces came back in the second half with an excellent drive to put 7 up on the board. While Eagles weren’t able to score in the second half, they never dropped their level of intensity – both teams played there hearts out and for the Forces, a well deserved win was their just reward. I just can’t wait to see the rematch for the championship!
Rematch time between the Eagles and the Cardinals. Once again, the Eagles defense came on strong putting a lot of pressure on the Card’s quarterback and successfully keeping them out of the end zone. The Eagles offense did their part to come away with the win and to advance their record to 6-1.
A rematch of the season opener, Eagles – Rattlers – would the outcome change? The Rattlers sure improved over the course of the season and ran an impressive passing offense. However, the Eagles improved as well and their defense was just brutal, not allowing any Rattler to get in the end zone until 4th quarter and by that time the Eagles’ offense had already built a substantial lead which eventually put another one in the ‘W’ column.
