Week 4 finds the Eagles facing the Six Shooters, a relatively new team to the league. The Six Shooters definitely had some sizable athletes on their team to watch out for.  Even with the temperatures hovering around 106, both teams kept their cool and played some good football with the Eagles coming out on top to move there record to 3-1.

The first match up of the two undefeated team in the league. For each, the other was the team to beat and set the tone for the season. However, the Special Force showed just how special they were, their backs were FAST and broke away for some early scores. They appeared unstoppable but the Eagles defence stepped up and started to ‘gel’ making the Forces work for each yard. But with their starting QB out for most of the game due to injury, the Eagles were unable to find the endzone this game.  Can’t wait for the rematch.

Another week and another sudden death over time match for the Eagles as they battled Special Forces this week. Unfortunately,  the tables were turned this week, and it was the Special Forces that walked off the field victorious.

Things heated up when the big kids took the field. This time things weren’t as close, the Eagles scored early off a turn over during the opening kick off and this set the pace for the rest of the game. While the Cards had some good drives, the Eagles always found a way to shut it down.  Eagles go into next week 2-0 to face Special Forces.

What a game! These kids were well matched and kept each other out of the endzone for 3 quarters. Then in the 4th the Eagles put 6 on the board, this must have ruffled the Cardinals’ feathers because they mounted an arial attack like no other and just as quickly tied it back up at six.  It took  sudden death overtime to find the Eagles victorious.

The Pee Wee Season opener for the STYFL Rattlers and Eagles.  Now this is REAL football, 11 man tackle on a muddy field – awesome. Great talent on both sides but the Eagles came out on top of this one. Not a lot of time to edit this gallery as were off to the Rim to enjoy the rest of labor day weekend, but I think there are a few nice ones up there – enjoy.
