Mission Statement:
“To provide Professional level sports photography to youth sporting events. In essence, to be the ‘Sports Illustrated’ of youth sports….
In fact, we use the same professional level gear you’ll find on the sidelines of NFL, NBA, NBL games. That way we have the frame rate to capture that split second of greatness, the clarity to provide that crystal clear ‘cover shot’ and the resolution for up to 24×36″ poster prints of your superstar.
Meet the Staff:
Barry Shaffer – Founding Photographer
My love for art & photography started over 25 years ago when I received my first SLR. This love quickly turned into a passion ( and if you ask my wife, she’d say an obsession )
With the birth of our 3 children, I had 3 of the greatest subjects in the world. As they grew, and started playing faster paced sports, I, like many of you, tried to keep up with the action with the same camera equipment that I used for all our family snapshots. I was always a bit disappointed with the number of missed shots due to slow focus or frame rate. So in 2006, I bit the bullet, broke the piggy bank and ‘geared up’ with a pro DSLR system that, before then, I couldn’t even afford to dream about.
I started this website as a way to share my photography with as many of you as possible. No, they’re not free, but very fair – especially when you consider what some leagues charge for the typical package of a team photo and static portrait of our kids in front of a fake background. In my opinion, action shots capture our ‘little heroes’ in a split second of greatness that will fill a parent’s heart with pride for years to come. My sincere hope is that you’ll find an image in my galleries that moves you in the same way… and of course, buy it.

FAQ:
Q: I can’t find pictures of my event, where are they?
A: You’ll find event pictures under the ‘ Galleries ‘ Menu choice. Events are listed under the appropriate Sport Category, typically by date then team name or number.
If you still don’t see them there it is possible I haven’t posted them yet. I take hundreds of pictures in a typical game so it does take some time to index them to the site. No more than 24 hours, but typically they should be up by the night of the event. Check the ‘News’ section of this site where I’ll typically post a note on what’s new in the Galleries. If you’re ‘tech’ savvy you can grab an RSS feed of my news section that way you’ll know as soon as something changes here without even needing to visit the site ( And yes, right after photography, I’m a big geek at heart)
If you made any special arrangements with me before the event you can use the keyword search function in the galleries to get right to your images.

Q: How long will it take to receive my prints?
A: Once you place your order, we do our final post processing work which optimally crops the picture for the sizes you select and sets the right color balance for the image. I do have a day job so this process may take longer if I receive your order during the week vs. the weekend but typically I strive to get them turned around in 48 hours. From that point we send them to our lab for printing. So typical time between placing your order and having your prints on your door step should be about 1 week.

Q: What kind printer do you use?
A: Currently we offer prints with regular finishes (glossy, matte and luster). These are printed on Fuji color Crystal Archive professional photographic paper using Fuji Frontier printers, processed through professional Fuji Hunt Chemicals. The archival quality of this process is 50+ years, before fading may occur.

Q: What if I’m not happy with my prints?
A: All our products come with a 30 day unconditional guarantee. If you are unhappy with a print, we’ll either reprint it, or offer a full refund. The exception to this is on postage stamp prints.
