Creative Portraits are a great way to capture the ‘warrior’ in your young star. Our sessions are individualized, include post processing artwork and are conducted on a commission basis. While there’s nothing wrong with the snapshots you get from most league shooters, our resulting images can truly be stunning especially when printed poster size. Got a tough guy of your own? Wow, with a great opening game and win for the Spartans, Minor Tackle football and a great 2 weeks of great Soccer action in the Girls U10 division. I am still plagued with problems with the computer we use to process our images and post them to the site. Rest assured though, the parts for the new machine are coming together well (of course and upgrade was in order so I’ll be rocking 8 Gb with this machine!) and I’ll be able to post the upcoming games even if it kills me!!
Not shooting much sports in this heat, but had some work in Germany this month, got to shoot in Berlin and test out some new camera gear. There’s still a bit of the wall standing but it gets picked at more and more as you can see here from this picture. It was a great opportunity, and one that I won’t soon forget.
But it was for a good cause as we went to Tempe to cover Pat’s Run 2008, a charity event that supports the Pat Tillman foundation, that was formed “to carry forward Pat’s legacy by inspiring and supporting young people striving to promote positive change in themselves and the world around them.” The rest of the family did the running while I did the shooting. It was a great event and I encourage everyone to come out next year and participate.
Sorry, no camera for the games this weekend. Had a couple portrait sessions that took priority. I was nice to sit and relax to watch the kids for a change. But no worries, The gear will be out next week to capture the last couple moments of this season.
Alright, time to get the kids off the couch and back out on the fields for Winter Sports. Both kids are running soccer this time around, U10-11 boys and U9 girls. You can find our upcoming shooting schedule in the Calendar section of the website, and as always if you have any special request your favorite player, just let me know before the game and I can concentrate on taking some winning shots.
First game this Saturday – Can’t wait!
Just wanted to wish everyone a happy new year. While the holiday season was nice and relaxing, we’re looking forward to starting our Winter sports season. Soccer will be the name of the game this time around as our two oldest both signed up with GYSA.
Can’t wait – See ya on the field…
This image was part of a skateboarding portrait session done with Ryan in the ‘Off Season’. The image was entered in and won the Canon SLR Challenge #108: Wide and Low photo contest. While there is no fame or fortune associated with winning the challenge it is nice to see the work recognized by fellow Canon shooters.

Magazine Cover Shots are a great way to put a special touch on the your little one’s game shots. They’re printed on gorgeous metallic paper that gives it a super rich sheen. Add any headline text you wish as well as “Inside Story” text. The above example is the first of many to come and will be offered in the Soccer and Football Galleries. In the coming weeks I’ll post new cover designs in the products page and if you have any special requests just email me.
