Rematch time between the Eagles and the Cardinals. Once again, the Eagles defense came on strong putting a lot of pressure on the Card’s quarterback and successfully keeping them out of the end zone. The Eagles offense did their part to come away with the win and to advance their record to 6-1.
A rematch of the season opener, Eagles – Rattlers – would the outcome change? The Rattlers sure improved over the course of the season and ran an impressive passing offense. However, the Eagles improved as well and their defense was just brutal, not allowing any Rattler to get in the end zone until 4th quarter and by that time the Eagles’ offense had already built a substantial lead which eventually put another one in the ‘W’ column.
The Pee Wee Season opener for the STYFL Rattlers and Eagles. Now this is REAL football, 11 man tackle on a muddy field – awesome. Great talent on both sides but the Eagles came out on top of this one. Not a lot of time to edit this gallery as were off to the Rim to enjoy the rest of labor day weekend, but I think there are a few nice ones up there – enjoy.
Eagles vs. Cowboys – sounds like a NFL division playoff game huh? Watching these kids this week it looked like one as well! Both teams played hard, ran hard and hit hard. Tempers flared at times but it was kept sportsman-ly-like and that energy was put into the next play.
This was definitely one of the tougher teams the Eagles faced this season yet, just like the 2008 division playoff, the Eagles walked off the field victorious.
This level play made for some great plays and filled this weeks gallery with some really great images – enjoy.
The Eagles pull of a win against the Warriors for the last game of the season. Unfortunately, I was playing with a new toy and taking video so no pictures of the last game but I do have some great shots of the first time the Warriors and Eagles played here. Meanwhile, here’s a clip of the Eagles fourth quarter interception.
A rematch from week 2 – This late in the season, you can really see the improvement in the game play. The Cardinals drew first blood by a great score off the opening kick off and followed up quickly with another score in the first quarter, but then the Eagles defense got in the groove and started plugging those holes and breaking up the plays in the backfield. Unfortunately, it was just a little too late as they never could recover the from the Cards early lead. Another great game to watch – I keep forgetting these are Pee Wees their just so good these days.
Click to view Gallery Boy, these Wildcats played as good as they looked – fast, big, and skilled, their offense really tested the EaglesD. Their Defense look just as good but good blocking and some great play calling enabled the Eagles to move the ball equally well and get some points on the board. These little guys seem to get better every week – its really fun watching them progress – so much so, I forget myself, and start watching instead of taking pictures.
Eagles and Warriors clashed this week on the field – two evenly matched teams and it made for a battle. The field, being wet from recent rains, made for some muddy conditions, by the end of the game these boys really looked like they came off a battle field – ah yes – THAT’S FOOTBALL!
The Eagles struck first with a surprise take to the air on third and long which found there man open with a clear shot for the end zone and the score. The warriors answered back by taking their speed to the outside and scoring. A truly entertaining game, well done kids.
A day before the NFC Championships we find the Cardinals and Eagles squaring off on the Pee Wee field. And if this game is any kind of predictor – we’re in for a great game! The Eagles put up one heck of a fight but the Cardinals were just on fire, laying the big hits and using some amazing speed to find the end zone more often than the Eagles. I sure hope tomorrow’s game is as exciting!
